Big Tuna grew a beard for the forthcoming film Away We Go. Krasinski plays a man more concerned about finding his bearings than his physical appearance. The resulting beard is a fitting attribute.
While suiting the film, its deficiency in length lends to a lack in personality. Krasinski’s beard has no gumption — Chuck Norris comes to mind. How boring. If the face is a canvas and the beard a work of art, this is a D+ high school watercolor.
The film looks fun, though.

Heh. He looks like Michael Moore.
His is plenty thicker than mine though, so if his only gets a 4.1... feel emasculated all of a sudden...
John Krasinski is one of the sexiest men alive, in my opinion. The beard makes him even sexier. Is it a great beard? Perhaps not. But it accents his face. And remember--the beard isn't his, it's his character's, and he and the director probably chose this style to reflect something in the character's personality. I'm sure Krasinski can (and will) do better.
Now if he'd just start doing some shirtless scenes...
I'm reading your blog from newest to oldest, and oddly enough was just thinking that you resemble Krasinski a bit in your beard shaving photos.
P.S. I like your blog as well.
