Dash Snow, photographer, semen artist, graffiti writer, and embodiment of the downtown NYC scene, died yesterday. He was a member of the so-called “Bowery School” of art and a beardist.
Snow lived hard and fast, reaching great acclaim at an early age. His beard reflects that hard and fast lifestyle, pushing boundaries and swooping off his visage in a hurry.
A long-flowing, amber Diana Ross of a beard is flanked by two Supremes of impressive wavy skull hair. Snow sculpts his beard with measured brilliance. The unexpected curve under the chin creates a dynamic and playful slope for his massive barbe rouge.
Whether you like his art or not, he was a unique dude with a helluva beard.
Bonus: Adriano Goldschmied even showed off Snow’s moustache a bit in a jeans ad, too. Not too shabby…
